Basically, with an additional line, you can talk on two phones at once. Additional lines are assigned a new primary number, and have all the plan features available through FonVantage®, including voicemail. The second line can be added without the need to purchase an additional device, since each device can accommodate two lines.
Once you have purchased an additional line thru FonVantage®, simply plug the second line into the port labeled "phone 2" on the back of your device.
